On Sunday night, Hill and Holler and JM Stock Provisions + Supply came together to host a Table Raising Cocktail Party to raise funds for the building of farm tables for future Hill and Holler events. Guest bartenders including T Leggett of The Roosevelt, Mattias Hägglund of Heritage in Richmond, and Nick Crutchfield of the Commonwealth Restaurant & SkyBar, each served a signature cocktail. Guests mingled in the space that James Lum and Matt Greene are currently renovating for their whole-animal butcher shop and local grocer – JM Stock Provisions + Supply – sipping cocktails and chowing down on Blue Ridge Pizza Company specialty wood-fired pizzas, while the gentlemen from Potter’s Craft poured their handcrafted cider.
The event was a great success, raising enough money for Hill and Holler to build the tables they need! Be sure to sign up for their email list so that you don’t miss out on a future dinner, such as the one coming up on September 22nd at Grace Estates that will benefit Appalachian Voices.
And while we’re talking about community helping community…be sure to support JM Stock Provisions and Supply’s Kickstarter Campaign! Have we mentioned that these generous guys, while working to raise funding for their own business, were sponsors of our BTF publication, Commons? James and Matt truly believe in this community and are doing all they can to ensure that they can make good, local food available to a wider audience. They have just 4 days to go…help them help you!
Many thanks to our contributor, Polina Oganesyan, for documenting the event!
